UM students and employees

Use your UM credentials

Students and employees should always sign in using their I- or P-number in order to get the relevant prices and be able to register for courses or services that are only available to UM students and/or employees.

Go to www.languagecentre.nl/web/login and click on this button.

MUMC staff

Are you working at MUMC and do you have a UM log in? Then you can log in with your UM account (please note that all follow up communication will be sent to this mail address). 
If you don't have a P-number, go to www.languagecentre.nl/web/login, click on 'Don't have an account?' and create an account with your MUMC email address. You should then be able to log in and see the correct prices. If you need help, please get in touch with us sending an e-mail to: languagecentre@maastrichtuniversity.nl.

Alumni

To receive the alumni discount for UM Language Centre courses, you must register using your alumni email account ending with @alumni.maastrichtuniversity.nl.

Login Methods


Method 1: Direct Login (If you have your alumni credentials)

  1. Go to www.languagecentre.nl/web/login
  2. Click on
  3. Enter your alumni email address (ending with @alumni.maastrichtuniversity.nl)
  4. Enter your password
  5. You're now logged in and can register for courses with alumni pricing


Method 2: Password Reset (If you forgot your password)

Step-by-step password recovery:

  1. Go to myaccount.maastrichtuniversity.nl
  2. Click on "Forgot" or "Create Initial Password"
  3. Use your former I-number (I******)
  4. Select an alternative email address linked to your account (where the reset link will be sent)
  5. Click "Send request by email"
  6. Check your selected email for the reset link
  7. Click the link and enter the same username from step 3
  8. Create a new password and click "Change password"
  9. Once successful, follow Method 1.


Troubleshooting


Problem: No Alternative Email Address Linked

If you cannot request a password reset because no alternative email is registered:

For Alumni:

  1. Email a copy of your valid passport or ID card to: servicedesk-icts@maastrichtuniversity.nl
  2. Include in your email:
    • Your UM username
    • An alternative email address where we can send your temporary password
  3. Important: You must immediately change the temporary password using the "Change Password" option on MyAccount

Security Requirements for ID Copy:

  • Make your BSN number, photo, and Machine Readable Zone (bottom of document) unreadable
  • Add a note stating the copy is "only intended for one-time password reset for Maastricht University"
  • Recommended: Use the KopieID app (government-approved) to create a secure, watermarked copy


Problem: Forgotten Student Number

If you don't remember your student number:

They will help you retrieve your student number.
